| This is a broodstock rainbow planted by the California Department of Fish and Game. The CDFG will often plant excess large fish as a bonus for opening day of the trout season. This was caught on the second day of the season in 1981 from shore. Caught it using an inflated nightcrawler and marshmallow combination. He went about 21". I was but a mere lad back then. |
