Not far away, another wildlife encounter.  You can always tell when you are getting close to wildlife by the traffic jam.  This herd of Bison is crossing the highway just before sunset.  Morning and evening is the best time to see wildlife up close as they move to or from feeding and bedding areas.  This herd seems to prefer spending the night in this meadow along the highway.

Park rules state that you should stay at least 75 feet away from wildlife, and 300 feet from Grizzlies!
